A friend of mine just rockered his SN and he simply made a cut on the sides, trimmed away some excess on the nose and put a piece of allthread from the top to bottom. Each day he heated the hull and cranked down on a bolt with a brace on the bottom. Next day he took it in a little more, a...
Wanting to rocker the nose of my blaster and maybe take a little off the rear, possibly throw in my 1200. I want to rocker it different than most are doing it though. I want to keep the original look of the ski and not chop the nose off, I plan to slope it up toward the nose and leave the...
Negative. Pat punched the cylinder out for me when my crank went out a couple years ago. He has done machine work for me in the past through Trey, and now he does most of his work but this engine is probably 10+ years old.
I have a suggestion for next year's races. Why not combine the X2 and Blaster Class? They were one in the same back in the day, it would be a much bigger field and I think much more entertaining.
I'll get the actual pic uploaded for you guys in the next day or two, I'm getting them all on my computer now, it's taking a while to dump.
Buckwild was busy on the camera this weekend, we got a lot of good pics.
I have a D-cut plate, -2 hull and I can stand in the foot holds, lean back and hold it wide open all day. If it was purposing, something was wrong. This hull typically just stays flat. I'll have to post some video.
I'll look forward to that engine. Although I already have a builder I...
I run my freak chasing boats almost 100% of the time. You can't expect to lay it over wide open because it turns flat. If you want it to carve yo really have to get forward and get the nose to bite a little. I run 40-50+ mph regularly on my ski in sloppy conditions and chop and it's as stable as...
Crankseal? Air leak? Cylinder deck or head aren't true. Did you use the same head both times?
All things I would check. As suggested I would take it to a machine shop to get it all checked out as well.
Well after some digging I found a weak end on my main ground cable and replaced it. No dice. So I made a nice new ground cable and soldered all of the ends and put that on. No go. Turned out to be the ground from the stator to the ebox as best I can tell, so I made another ground cable and...
I've blown the main ignition fuse twice in the last two weeks or so. Normally I would think regulator or bad ground but the odd part is its happening after I turn off the ski. With no consistency. Anyone had this issue? Runs fine all day and I'll come back to it and the fuse is shot.
