Any updates on your engine issues? It may to cold for you to care but I am very close to pulling the trigger on the same engine for my Chan build. Do you recommend it after running it for awhile?

Just past the entrance to the finals about two mins. or so is the entrance to Site Six boat ramp. Across the street is over flow parking which will be empty and is plenty big. Its just an open parking area (dirt) but easy to find.
Have you at least looked in the pump with a flash light to see the impeller? it could be trashed or even have a rock in it. if thats good then just work your way back to the engine. If it runs good it runs good. No tricks there.
Its easy - if using Hydro Turf be patient, use a heat gun and follow the directions on the contact cement you choose. You can stretch the turf in all directions with heat to make up for your mistakes. I have super glue for any areas that try to pop up over time.
