Got it. The chamber from fp is aluminum and its rolled and welded from the factory so it should weld good if I go that way. I did weld up a rub hole already so I know it will weld.

Wondered why you asked, and yep that is what I was thinking. Our welders at work were wondering if its possible to get to the bottom of the holes when you fill, seems like it would be hard. They were thinking about cutting the threads open on the side and filling sideways instead of down the hole.

That's a good idea Buzzard and I may go that way. When I winter tear down I am going to measure the manifold better and see if it looks like a significant restriction and if its worth the hassle of customizing the manifold for both the rotation and the restriction.
