    What prop for my SJ?

by cutting/setting back the impeller you are shortening the distance to the vanes and nozzle. This produces thrust much sooner than a stock setting which improves hookup. actual bottom end acceleration (whith the pump fully loaded) is dictated by the trailing edge. Hope this helps, G

    Best prop for 701?

if all you have is a MSD for your mod/s  then you should go with a 12/15 for freestyle or 13/16 for speed. G

    SXR prop question

your stock impeller is not pulling enough volume off the bottom. That 13/18 Skat would be perfect if it's a good deal. Good Luck!

    Best prop for 701?

If you are running your stock cdi w/rev limiter, then I would suggest the 13/17. Happy Jetting! G

    Pump Vein Repair

First of all, thanks for doing buisiness with us! However, I am worried that your JB weld may come loose and chew on the trailing edge of your new impeller. I strongly suggest having the vanes welded and reshaped by a professional. Depending on how much material is needed and hrs in labor, it...

    Blowsion bound

Thanks guys. Mine's the blue one. I thought it'd be funny and a great way to save some money if I left my helmet unchanged. Blue with Yami tuning forks on it...but now Dave likes the blue and I like the green..so we might trade..ahhh! G

    Best prop for 701?

A 13/15 -3m Solas Concord or Skat FR should work best for you IMO. The Solas has a better removal tool however. Good Luck!

rode a SJ for the 1st time-was disappointedq

add me to the list of people who went from JS's right to the SJ's. At first I couldn't stand them and had to unlearn what was second nature to me. But after a couple of months, I was hooked.. Chasing friends around buoys, I found that the ones on 750SX's seemed to be wearing out fatser than...

    Who's running the skat freeride???

Yes, Skats swirl design came out after the Mariner reactor in the early 90's. Sorry for any confusion, I belive we talking about the Skat Freeride impeller for the Yamaha 144 mm pump. Albeit, various swirl designs have been around for a lot longer than the Concord, the Skat "free ride" swirl...

    Who's running the skat freeride???

Sorry, poor choice of words. I don't mean to say that Skat directly copied a Solas. However they are VERY, VERY much alike in design (hub, blade length and blade size). The Concord came out on the market first. A Skat FR and a Concord had no gains over eachother at the same pitch and setback...
