Take the foam out and put in drains...

No foam will actually make the ski more buoyant...that is if you can keep the water out. I weighed the foam I removed. It was all dry and came in at over 5lbs. If you have a tendency of putting large holes or cracks in your hull surely run bottles or foam. I'm doing no foam with the little brass...

Your better off buying a complete SJ that has all the mods. You can get somthing very nice for $4k. Then later down the road get the aftermarket hull and transfer everything into it. This way you will have all the hardware and the swap will be easy. Biggest thing with building your ski from...

Check the thrust readings every 1000 RPM that should show you a difference.

The mod chamber is suited for an engine designed to make it's power at higher RPM's.

Will you need to reinforce the inside when removing the foam. Been thinking of doing the same thing but am concerned about losing strength.
