Making good progress today! Had to wrestle a SN exhaust hose on to the RN metal hose inlet that goes through the firewall. Broke a sweat!!!
Finished aligning the engine, replaced the reinforced water hoses with standard ones. We'll see how that goes.
i planned on reusing my FX1 gas tank but it...
If you want to try some skis, lake Lewisville and Grapevine both have a standup group there on the weekends. Come out with some swim trunks and we can help you with the rest for a test ride. Just post up which lake you wantt to go to and we'll get you directions.
I've ridden a lot of skis and...
^^^ no, there's a 'paint chip' under the cold fusion sticker. And by paint chip I mean it is similar in size to a bovine birth canal.
So I heard back from Mr. Brah. He said he'd take care of the extra charge and he hopes the build goes better. In all honesty, besides a few things like the...
Soooo.... the seller, we'll call him Mr Brah texted me yesterday. It would appear that SAIA freight was not happy with the size of the shipping yard where I work. They decided that because the driver had to make a 3 point turn to get out, they would charge him an addtional $70 on top of the $150...
Thanks, I'm trying to not let this stuff (and life) stress me out so much, which is a challenge sometimes.
This is a hobby, hobbys are supposed to be fun and expensive. The expensive part is covered, ask my wife.
Little update from yesterday. True to my word, mount is 5200'd in place.
Pump is mounted and shimmed (finally!!!!), midshaft is in, and I put the motor in. Its just sitting there, need to grab some hardware for the Ebox mounts.
And keeping with the theme.... I found something new last...
Guy doesn't mess around, pretty sick. Obviously he's doing professional shows, but judging by the BF bail out, a helmet might be a good idea.
Cool vid, thanks for sharing.
I already 5200'd it. The way I see it the part will have all the force pulling it down via the bolt. So as long as its sealed I THINK it'll be ok. We'll see. It's all coming apart this winter.
Maybe overlooking the obvious, but are you sure that your carbs arn't the problem? Since its a new motor/engine its possible it might not be right.
K.I.S.S. amiright?
I'm in the process of replacing a pump mount and when I drilled through the tray, I was extremely suprised how thick it was.
Does this look right? I bought the ski used and its had a lot of owners.....
The ski is stupid heavy. I know the foam is wet, but i'm now assuming that someone...
The brass will be held in place with 5200, after I pick some up today. I don't know what holds it from the factory, but nothing was there when I opened the tray up. It was loose and would push up into the foam area of the tray and spin when I tried to thread the bolt in. Thats why I had to do...
Haha big fan of the thread title.
Good luck with your build. From my experience, trying to find all those little parts you need becomes a never ending search.
You have to ask me that? The same person who cut driveshaft splines by hand because it was quicker than sending one out? LMAO!
yeah, just tired of delaying the build another week, then another week etc. I order something else from You every Tuesday (no offense, you've been great) to get the...
Ok thanks to SuperwetBrett or he "how to" on this. Hope it helps someone else.
First, drill a pilot hole from the bottom through the center of the pump mount.
Then cut the turf larger than 2". I cut an irregular shape to make it easier to replace.
Then I used a 1 5/8" hole saw to cut the...
I've almost been trained that most sellers want the money gifted to avoid the pp fees.
Im a fan of JetManiac, who quotes the price shipped plus pp fee.
