I'm no guru either, but im wondering if maybe the carb getting warmed up from the engine running helps the fuel atomize better or something along those lines? I would tear down the carb, clean it real well. Internal filter could be clogged. GL

Thanks Matt, I was hoping that you'd chime in. I did this yesterday on a known good ski and came up with values around 34v DC (+/- 5v). Does that sound right? I have a spare regulator in a ebox that i've been measuring resistance on as well. None of the resistance values match the manual...
