If the green(290) is used correctly it's just a med strength threadlocker. It's meant to be used on already assembled fasteners. It wicks into the threads. I use it all the time on setscrews. A VERY small amount is all that's needed. Here's a link to the loctite product guide. Loctite® 290™...
