2009 Smith Lake Assault Part I

Now, now Bill. Just put a rubber band around his cods, it'll be alot more entertaining to watch him run around than to see him be shot.:burnout:

    Single Or Dual Carbs

No I have not, but I am certain you have good bottom end snap. We believe you. I will stick to my origial statement.

    Single Or Dual Carbs

Stunning. To each his own, but the strongest skis I have ever ridden ALL ran duals.

    best head

The girdle kit will help prevent cracking the cylinder - especially if you run a dry pipe. The ADA shell will be the same wheather sleeves are stock or bored up. You simply choose dome size(diameter) based on you bore, be it 701 0r 760. I like ADA as well as any head I have run. Domes are...

type 4 dry pipe for freestyle?

The ski he's considering is stronger than my '06 - bottom to top. It has more compression and nicer carbs/manifold.

Gill, you left YZ250 off your list. He's coming to try out the new motor isn't he? Oh, and Kashka. We gotta have protection from those pesky Smith Lake lions.

I just go off the phone with the Gillinator. We apparently have special permission to park in a normally off limits area near the water. We also have permission to launch there with beach carts. We DO NOT have permission to back our trailers into the water to launch at the beach. I hope...

    Head install/removal ?s

If you don't have a stud installer tool, just thread 2 nuts on the stud and use a socket or wrench. Be sure to put antiseize on the ends of the studs going into the cases.

    Water question?

I use a thin layer of grease and torque acorn nuts and head bolts to 22ft/lb on our ADA heads. I won't say I have never blown an o-ring, but it is very rare considering we are running 3 of these heads. The 1211 coating sounds like a good idea- if only I had the patience to clean it out of the...

    Water question?

Sounds like an oring under one of your domes has blown. Do you have an aftermarket head? I am not familiar with stock head gaskets, but I suppose they could fail in that area too.

It helps to have a vise to break your old prop loose, but not critical to putting the new one on. I am pretty sure Gill has a vise at him house - just don't let him touch your tool if he tries.
