I always hide mine under my truck. One time I forgot they were there and used my spare set to load up and drive home. I drove around for a week before I realized they were missing. They were still hid under my truck, hooked on the shock bolt. I got really lucky on that one. Then I screwed...
Why don't you offer up your ski BK?
I have an X2 you can put that engine in if you promise to return the billet engine and my hull when you are done... :)
I bought a carb/intake/flame arrestor set up off of him years ago and it was a smoot transaction and good deal.
I can't believe you had to jump through that many hoops to title that ski!
I agree sometimes parts are tough to come by. The adapter plate I posted a pic of is for sale by Blowsion. I thought of getting one for my 800 SXR engine and then using a Power Factor pipe. But being I already have a nice FPP setup, I will just use that.
I would still like to see the pic...
Here is the plate that lets you use Yamaha exhaust manifolds on a Kawasaki cylinder.
He is claiming he has the opposite.
That there is a plate to use a Kawasaki exhaust manifold on a Yamaha cylinder.
I just don't see the point when all of the FPP Yamaha exhaust manifolds have the...
You ever see the dual engine CR500's in hill climb bikes? Those things are wild!
1000cc's of brap.
I would love to have a custom crank case and crank made where I could use 4 CR500 cylinders mounted on a V and put it into a ski... just a thought...
There was a test where Transworld MX mag compared lap times aboard a CR500 AF (the Service Honda conversion bike) and a CRF450. Pro level MX test riders posted faster lap times on the 500. I also have a recent edition of MX Action where they rode a conversion bike and said that it was one hell...
You can still use 750 pipes. You just need the FPP Yamaha manifold that makes the head pipe to exhaust manifold the 3 bolt pattern.
Post a pic of your adapter plate. I have only seen ones that made it where you could use Yamaha exhaust manifolds on Kawasaki cylinders.
I concur, only downside I see about Yamaha's is that they still don't make the radiator shrouds cover the whole gas tank. The shrouds are a lot cheaper to replace than the tank. Tank graphics always end up turning yellow and peeling. Plus you run the risk of striping out those brass inserts...
You have any info on the bed plates or motor mounts used? I am just being lazy and hoping someone will make a plate to mount a Yamaha engine in a Kawasaki. I have seen it done before on Japenes web sites and W2Addict on here did it but his isn't the best and the motor comes loose often. If I...
I smell some donuts cooking up in my truck... oh wait, the heater is broke and I am out of town right now and can'ty get to the parts store... wonder if the company will be mad if I do a few in my work car? On second thought I better not.
You fools better get together for a ride when I come down next summer. It will be probably the 4th of July or Labor Day weekends. Well that is if I get a ski built... (Terry that is your clue to chime in and diss me) YZ would but he is grounded.
I should have the X2 built by then... lol...
