I'll go out on a limb and say you went lean. There's no visible piston wash... Check your carb filter and your fuel filter. You might have also sucked air through a fuel selector or primer. Also check your crank seals. What was your jetting?

That's a pulse fitting. It transmits crankcase pressure to the diaphragm pump on your carburetor. If it is blowing off then you have a serious problem until you get it fixed. It's a press fit fitting, but you may be able to use epoxy or silicone to hold it in. It looks like you have two...

Disassemble and use a thin coat of Three Bond 1211 on both sides of the gaskets. You can also use Moto Seal or something similar.

also, pressure test your motor. I made this video a while a go as an example of why it's so important. If you don't know for certain you don't have an airleak, you probably do.

Agreed, 2 layers of biax on the sides is plenty, especially when you're essentially bonding the old side pieces back in.. 4 on the tray floor should be plenty stout as well.
