If it were me, I'd grind the cracks out, dill with cabosil or chopped glass then reinforce the entire mount area with 3-4 layers 8oz sglass tape of different widths starting with say 2 inch, 3 inch and 4 inch to get max bonding surface and you'll probably never have another issue. Do both sides...
I recently finished my glass -4.3 superfreak badass and I must say, it is probably the best riding hull I've ever ridden. The wider tray is excellent and it is also long enough to get a decent width for surf stance. I'm running a lpw 735 with all of the goodies, 148 mag setback pump. I can...
Sweet build man work looks great and good write up. It's almost as much work typing it all up and taking, organizing pics as it is doing the work haha. I'm still curious how the pump conversion works but you'll definitely clear that up. Keep it up
You probably didn't mess up the threads on the bow eye, the threads are so fine they easily corrode and become impossible to remove after a little time. Those graphics are sooo clean I would not remove them they look soo good! Also, I'd highly recommend shortening your 21 sj pole several inches...
I used oem yamaha inserts for my superfreak. It had some stainless standard thread wooden looking inserts when I got it. I wanted all metric hardware so I went with the oem brass inserts and epoxied them in with cabosil and 8oz glass.
Impros could fix up your impeller and probably repitch it to 10/16 for you at the same time. The stator veins look ok on the pump nothing a little bending and file work wouldn't fix. Sweet setup. Any mph numbers for the addition of the dual carbs and pipe?
Mine didn't really have all of the same issues as mine is a unicorn glass hull, not carbon. The guy I bought it from told me every issue with the hull I bought before buying it as well so I knew exactly what I was getting into. I read through your thread many times as well. Thankyou again for...
I was just referring to the for sale thread pics and description being deleted after the sale. I'm not bashing anyone and honestly have no idea about the Sale. If the seller found issues and the buyer made it right which it definitely sounds like he did then its really no one elses business. It...
If you do any salt water riding I'd advise to stay away from the carbon chambers. If a cooling line clogs up or pops off, you run high risk of melting the chamber and ruining it. Just something to think about. The rrp pipes are nice and make pretty good power. Personally if I was in the market...
Alex does great work. I've had I'm do a 64x flywheel for me, quality of machining was excellent. I sent it to him right before wavedaze and picked it up from him at wavedaze. Got to meet him, very solid dude. And he can also send that Polaris powered krash to the moon haha. He is one of the...
Got to head up to lake hickory for the day to film a commercial riding my x2. I was totally unaware of what the commercial was actually about at the time I was just told I would be wearing a suit and tie. It was a great time and the ol x2 did great. Only almost sank twice and ran out of gas...
Too late to tell the thread and all pics were deleted. That sucks to have to go through all that after just buying a hull you probably paid a pretty penny for
