2008 superjet Just bought 2008 stock superjet, really impressed by improved cornering and lean in turning, but hated the nose pushing hard down at high speed and very slow steering. Wound up cutting ride plate flush and trimming bond line in the back, and making a bracket on nozzle to speed up...

Ditto. Not displaced, looks like it hit something, not just a stress fracture from riding it. Patch and go!

What stock ride plates will fit this ski, even if it is a little shorter? I think I saw square-nose SJ or blaster will fit just fine.

I have both. They are very different. You have to keep both of them!!!!! The sxi is not going to bring in a lot of money anyway, and it is practically hit bottom on price. Ride both and make up your own mind!

Any pictures of the ride plate? I cut mine flush but no d cut. How deep was the cut if no picture? Cutting it shorter really helped get nose up at full throttle.

Ride plate question So is the ride plate with a d cut hole style in it or cut from the back edge type half circle. Also standard length?

So I decided to cut the stock ride plate back flush with the back of the hull  and it seems to be quite a bit less bow push at high speed and a little less darty in general. I find at full throttle I need to stay way back on the ski. I am now thinking about some up trim by redrilling...

Not happy so far. Bought a used 2008 recently, corners well but a lot of nose push at speed and feels darty at high speed. Throttle let off causes nose to dive and spray over bow. new superjet handling The cornering and lean in is better, but the high speed straight line feels very sketchy. Overall hard to ride well. The bow also pushes in at speed and throttle let off bow plows hard!
