I took the flywheel and bendix off as I am replacing the AM bendix with a good used one from jetmaniac.

The solenoid does not click. I have not tested the start stop switch, but it worked fine before. I will test it with a volt meter tomorrow. Before the starter fried, the solenoid was clicking. Then the clicking stopped. I replaced the starter. Still nothing.

Got a starter from JetManiac. Put it on and it still won’t crank when I press the S/S switch. The positive is hooked up; and when I jumped the solenoid, it sparked but did not spin the starter. Solenoid is NOT clicking.

My SN superjet shut off. When I tried to start it again, it would not start. The battery was sizzling. Turns out the bendix was stuck on the flywheel, so it wouldn’t crank. I took off the flywheel cover and freed up the bendix and replaced with a good battery. Still won’t crank? I jumped the...

Good idea. The main problem is when jumping, the nose of the ski goes way high, and I can't pull the rear of the ski up without footholds or a strap.

I've been throwing around the idea of putting footholds in my fx1. I am a little hesitant to cut the ski up. It's not in perfect condition, but its unmodified. Would footholds bring the resale value down?
