I like the 14. everyone I know with NOCOs run a 14 but i've seen guys run the 9. 14 takes some filler in a superjet and just barely doesn't fit the Krash but I make it work. Hope that helps.
Keep an eye on those battery cables. I got mine from BatteryCablesUSA and the crimps were loose under the heat shrink. One fell off while riding. When I fixed it, I checked the others and ended up crimping and soldering on all new ends.
I've considered trying a set of non-floating wheels/tires. Not sure how they'd work in deep soft sand.

yep. Sounds like you're on the right track. Adjust it so it starts flowing past idle. If you have a pisser tee'd in nearby you might need to restrict the pisser to get the FCV to open.
