Thanks for the pic. I am considering painting my bumpers and pivot cover black like you did. Did you use special paint/prep for the plastic parts? I have seen some botched jobs with paint flaking badly on other skis.
Anyone have pics of upholstered mats/pads on their fx-1? I see HT turf jobs but haven't seen many upholstered skis. Looking to get some ideas. I am pretty sure Jettrim still does them, but they don't show anything on their website. Not sure about AP Designs though.

I think the break started on bottom 180*. But it was soon split 360* around. I don't think it was a backfire issue. Motor and pipe do seem to vibrate quite a bit.
My buddy's factory Mod pipe keeps splitting the coupler between the head pipe and the manifold. The latest one only had about 2 hours riding time on it. Are there any any tricks to minimize this from happening? What are common problems for this issue: Misalignment? over tightening clamps?
