I have a 650 superjet pipe and I am wondering where the water fitting (faces staight up) coming out of the elbow shaped headpipe goes? Does it just go overboard?

I am wondering what it is worth. I am looking at parting it out due to the hull not being in great shape. It is out of a 94 or 95 XI SS. Starts up and runs good equal compression on both cylinders. Thanks for the help!
