i havent gotten that far yet. i think a worx 201 is what i want. but dave at impros told me 205.. havent tackeled that yet. saving the extra bit of cash for my hooker prop, i will find out in ten minutes if am going to burn the stock one..

mike your ski looks sick even though its a yami...i am coming in this weekend to work on mine i will have to check her out.

i have my buddy's 08 in my garage and one of my friends and i were looking at it. We were amazed at how little steering it had......after reading this. I now know why.

i only notice the steering whn i try to U for the set up wake. most people change poles anyway so its not a huge problem

prop was good. its my understanding that the stock prop on all other year sjs would not have worked at all with the power i added right? the prop was great stock and .. well put it this way.. if you didnt want to change props, you could get by more then nicely with the type 4, head and stock prop. when i take it out, its going into my ported 62t project

i dont think it sux at all. i know thats not what you are saying. it can be very racey, and i never rode an older sj, so i cant compare yet. however. when i go to jump it. its everything i expected from all the sj freestyle hype. i never went bigger on a set up wake with any other ski.. even the incrdeibly modded octane. and it carves like a motherF so you have best of both worlds. i guess the catch would be the steering but i honestlty dont notice it, and its fixable( maybe i am used to it). im impressed and i love it, glad i spent the money

does anyone know if a pre-08 intake grate will work with the set back pump?

I have been changing the exit, steering nozzle and cable as well for more steering to 07 style. Cut the rideplate way back. Try running the stock intake grate with the two middle bars cut out. The aftermarket grates hang low and make it slide less. These things dont have a sliding promblem anyway.

is the 08 going to be the last production run of the 2-stroke super jet ? because when I read watercraft world they we said that they baisicly changed the the bottom of the hull and not much else .

i think you will see the SJ as a 2 stroke for a long time....IMO

I sure hope so. I still don't buy into the whole 4-strokes are the future hype. Rotory maybe but not 4-strokes.
