Just got a call from Kaveman and he gave me the OK to tell you what he knows:

The Same:

Motor, carbs, topdeck

Different:

Hull has integral sponsons, is narrower in the rear, and has deeper strakes.

Intake grate, rideplate, and pump have been moved back.

Pump has stainless impeller.

Blue ski with white graphics---looks like a 98-02 model.

He's going to try and take pictures and post later.

If it had came with an 800 EFI, I'd have bought one tommorow. :grumble:

Oh yeah---the new FXSHO is a 1800cc Supercharged with an engine that is 45lbs lighter than the Kawi with a 25% reduction in the hull weight over the FXHO. They used some technology from the aerospace industry and built a lighter hull. Why couldn't they build a lighter SJ?!?

One more thing he just called about---- it has a -50mm (about two inches) handlepole.

He says the rideplate sticks out the back farther than the previous models, as well as the steering nozzle. The reduction nozzle is just about even with the back of the hull.

He has pictures and will post them later after the free drinks run out...if he's able to. :Eyecrazy::laugh2:

cool. improvement is good. look for a new motor in 11 years naw...im curious as to how it rides and handles.. more tech investment into the handling design than the aftermarket hulls we're used to riding which are more so cut and play. ill be excited to try one out

my boss was @ the show and just called me and said that they showed the new couch being 3mph faster than the kawie 250
he was also gonna give me his pass to go demo the ski tommorrow but said they arent demoing the nrn so im just gonna stay home im bummed now.
