The duck bills I use on the Hurricanes do leak water into the hull if it's sitting around - but they let out twice as much water as the versi-plug we use on the BOB Hulls. Hurricane was built for flat water freestyle, not rec riding, so I didn't design it around being beached (worry about water getting in), all I focused on was water getting out while under motion (you know, the way you're supposed to ride a freestyle ski).

Not saying Subhard is doing it wrong, he has a simple fix to make the hull work for his riding style, which is great - but Hurricane was NOT designed for rec riding, so the water drains we choose to use will leak water if you let it sit for too long, which is where his ski is taking on water.

I rode the ski again all day today. It ran perfectly. The ski clinic knows how to tune. I haven't had any starting issues at all since I drained all that water out. It has started perfectly every time.

It SHOULD start WITH water in it....sounds like an electrical issue.

GET that Rulemate bilge though. You will not regret it. Nobody has yet. Lifesaving bilges.

Teaser video until I finish going through the rest of my go pro footage. Keep in mind all I only have 2.5 seasons on an SXR. And this was my first time actually trying any real tricks on anything. And the first day riding the ski. I promise I'll be flipping it thing soon.

So yesterday I installed a bilge and versi plugs. I shouldn't have any more water issues. And I'm ordering a 12 cell antigravity to help even out my thug lean. The battery I have in it now weighs 13.9 pounds.

Since 180 hops on this thing are so easy I'm gonna try my first backflips that way. Hop, flip. I hope.

Setup wakes are hard

Setup wakes require the right timing to make it and hit the setup wake. Allso you need to pull the bars to your chest as you are leaving the setup wake, and then arch your back and look back to add rotation. Looks like your are folding together insted of extending.

So after chilling on the shelf in my heated garage all winter after being topped off with the charger my antigravity battery died second ride. Wish all the negative feedback threads on them were around before I bought it. They suck. I did everything the directions and fan boys say to do too. So I swapped it out for a deka etx-9. We'll see how that works.

Lake was glass last night so I decided to GPS my ski to see how fast it would go. I got it up to 50.5 mph. Not bad for a freestyle hull. I can and have out run stock superjets. It's more work but it's both doable and fun. Whoever says you can't chase boats with these is either lazy or can't ride.
