Ya I totally agree. The drivers weren't riders and had no v wake experience. I was going bigger yesterday off a single surf wave I think. But it still wasn't terrible.

Still running that 64X 760? Do you know if the cylinder was lowered as well as ported? Its sopposed to help the bottom end if the cylinder is lowered. Considering a similar motor setup for my new build and looks like it makes pretty good power...Im just wondering about power delivery and stuff, sounds like you said it has a relatively smooth nice linear feel? Nice ski man!

Yup. It's still running like a champ. A very reputable builder named Paul Lehr did a "freestyle" port job on my motor. I don't know exactly what things he does but I bet one of them is cylinder lowering. The power is really nice. It's not as "snappy" in the bottom as my buddies non ported 701 but my motor has more power everywhere else. It's a great recreational motor.

Awesome, thanks man. Ya lowering the cylinder 1-2mm is sopposed to make them snappier like a 61X but I havent been able to get actual input from somebody that has ridden one. Definitely an inexpensive way to have a ported "big bore" motor though!
