Haha im guessing it was tony. I was the shorter guy, you let me ride your ski and i made a fool of myself, Wasnt used to something with that kind of power LOL.

A couple buddies and I will be riding the grand traverse bay 4th of july weekend if you'll be around.

i talked to Dan up there last week, and he said not yet because they had two big families coming in that weekend. Since spaces may be limited I'd give them a call and leave a message and get your name on the list. He said he will get book on a first come basis.

i hope the families like jet skis!!! we're on the list for two sites. Hopefully the campground managers explain the situation to them like they do at wave rave.

Yeah, I called and left a voicemail early this morning, haven't heard back though.

I just got a call back from the campground about my voice mail 2 weeks ago. I'm on the waitlist for a site, but they don't know if their permits will be approved. The guy said he'd have more info and let me know sometime next week.

I'm headed up to Torch this weekend, To the campground. NO ski on this trip. My parents were up last weekend and said the sandbar has shifted almost a 1//2 mile east. So it is almost in front of the campground access site. We may be able to keep the same riding spot as last year.

I just spoke with the guy at the campground about my reservation, and he told me "It's probably best to make other arraignments".

Looks like I didn't make the cut! Anyone else get a reserved site there?

Camp grounds shut me down too... currently looking for the next best alternative... i would hate to pay over a hundred bucks a night to stay in a hotel...

I just found out they are not doing tent sites and are only doing 30 total sites. I am gonna call them here shortly, I will aslo be up there at the campgrounds this weekend and try to work something out for the freeride.

Well, with the news about the campground, I am debating if we should just call off the official ride for this year. Ofcourse SuperN8, myself and a few others will be there regardless. let me hear your opinions.

That's a bummer about the campground! I would still be in for the ride as long as there is a hotel within around a 30 minute drive or so.
