i am deffinently in. IDK about moving the date... i dont know about everyone else, but i work 7 days a week and have to have my vacation time in. I am sure there will be somewhere to stay... How many people dont have a place to stay??? Chip in on a beach house???

I'm up here now, the campground is all tore up, up front. They did water and now running sewage, but only doing the front 30 sites this year.

I talked to don last night, but a few bad apples (tent sites) rubbed him the wrong way last year. NOT from the freeride but I don't think he wants to deal with tents at all this year with all the renovations.

understandable, but I'm sure he is missing out on a lot of money. So as of right now another date isn't possible

but as of right now we still have the worthless permit with Dnr so it's up to you guys if y'all want to still do it. So far looks like 8-10 riders are in.

So is Don saying we can stay if we have a camper? Or pay for a site w/ hookups and use a tent? The campground is ideal for using a cart to get to the water. I can't shell out money for a cabin or house rental. Bottom line is, if the campground is out I probably won't make it.

how much is a house for the weekend??? if we find a house big enough... jsut split up the difference that way with 8-10 riders...

Swanny, the campground isn't a option anyway u look at it. They have all 30 of their sites booked. So unless he changes his mid and opens the whole back side of the campground no one can stay here regardless of a camper or tent. And I don't blame you I'm sure many others feel the same so that's why I asked if we should postpone the ride this year. Thanks for the comment.

blessedSJ- there's various rentals, I know Sammy smusleh rented one a few doors down from us that had plenty of space.

Btw, I didn't bring my ski this weekend, but I have been out paddling boarding every morning. The water temp is in the 40s. Nice and chilly!

Yea go to old orchard park near OSCODA. Perfect campground, Fun crowd , big sand hill to party and no dick ass cops.

we are staying in traverse city. rooms about 150 a night. This lake is so nice its worth it!!

Perfect we will all stay there lol.

I'm planning on talking to the sheriff today, but I am leaning towards canceling the "official event" with the DNR, and who ever shows up shows up, How's that sound? maybe that will take the spotlight off us that day. Then hopefully next year the campground will be ready to rock.
