2014 Krash Footrocket - First AM build

Prop is a 14/19, might need to move to a 13/18

The ride plate I have is cut already to hull length, I'm waiting on a full length plate from krash

ok. I'm running a similar set up (Dasa 971 w/49 full specs, msd enhancer with 3mm of static timing advance, 148 H2O pump). although I am running a FPP mod chamber (changing to a PFP in spring).

One notable difference, I am running a 7/12 pitch prop. Seems to hook up the best for low end. i've tried several different pitches with this set up.

This is my first ski with a PFP. I was playing around with restrictors today to get the engine temp correct (water temp was around 40) however the water going overboard from the chamber was pretty much ice cold. Should another restrictor be run there as well to keep the chamber hotter? I'm going to talk to Erik, but just want to see what your opinion is.

Should be a jet in the stinger going into the PFP and then a adjustable twist flow control valve...have you adjusted this?

That affects water box temp, not chamber temp... Probably need to restrict water going to the chamber some more...

So do you think I should add a restrictor for water going into the chamber or coming out of it?

I guess restrict after the chamber. Just make sure you turn the Jet Works valve in some to account for the higher pressure in the chamber.

In talking to Erik he suggested restricting before and after, restricting just after can cause hydroforming in the pipe and lead to the water jacket cracking

This is pure awesomeness, went out for second ride today. Started it up on the trailer, put it in the water, fired, dead, starting was spinning, brand new oem started mind you, pulled the flywheel cover and the flywheel BROKE, gotta love this sh*t

I've never seen it before, it's going to be fun getting it off, I have rrp couplers, hopefully I can hold it there with an adjustable wrench

Maybe a rope in the cylinder and use a impact wrench.

Thank you posting this @westjon86, I'll skip the ring gear drilling and just do the face of the flywheel, I was just about to have both done.
