Honestly dont know, It was 10 years ago. It would suck, but you could send the shaft to @Sasquachcrap and he could shorten it. I have a Hull coming and hoping I do not run into the same issues.

2000 SJ Hull.


If you do not have the seal in, that is almost 1/4" gap there. That will push you back almost a 1/4.

I did some. If smooth its a great surf ski. If rough, well, 65 lb hull gets bounced around.

I am trying to figure out how couplers are changing this. If the shaft sticks out farther and is bottom the midshaft housing from seating how will couplers help. Unless your saying that you pressed your midshaft forward some and the shorter couplers allowed this. But why not just slide the motor forward and press the midshaft forward
