this one is funny. That's his driveway/front lawn the boat is on.

watching the news it was like they were expecting tsunami or something. and they were just in a tizzy about the cat1 no no wait its a cat 2. pfft whatever. Im sure there are worse thunderstorms that roll thru than a cat 1.

now on the other hand I am glad that people were cautious and even though it did flood in some parts, it doesnt appear to be as big of a deal as they have made like it was going to be. And the concern there is that everytime they spout off about 20 foot storm surge and all of New York is going to be under water when it doesnt happen time after time, the day it really is gonna go off nobody will be prepared. Boy who cried wolf.

sorry to those who got flooded, hope everyone is okay and be grateful it was just a cat 1 and 2. A 3 or 4 and you all would be really effed.

yeah the storm itself wasn't bad at all. Like you said we have seen worse thunderstorms.

The coastal flooding was bad and I'm sure the beaches took a lot of erosion.

I choose to not leave the house, due to my grandmother’s vast medical needs at this point in her life, Darin. I am her chosen/legal Designated Health Care Surrogate, as well as her Power of Attorney, and I have acted in such capacity ever since leaving Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. If I were not doing this for her, I believe I would be back in the midst of each hurricane to make landfall within the SE, just as I was for over a decade.

On the waves and surges, they are always specific to locale (some will get them, others will not). The storm currently brewing out in the Atlantic has my attention at this point, and hopefully we do not have to evacuate; it will be difficult for us personally, if so.

what happens when the water goes down and the boats not over the trailer??

They had a lot more important things to worry about than that crappy boat being on or off the trailer when the water started coming in.

Need a new furnace and hot water heater at the tune of about 7,000. Wonder how the condensing unit for central air held up.... The neighbor's was running underwater!!!!

Oh haha thats why. I took a walk down there on Sunday morning to check on my dad's boat in Treasure Island. Wow that was about 1 PM all the water went down. Yeah I remember my friend saying "That boat looks sick"

Amazing you didn't clip anything it looked pretty shallow. I think this may be a more common method of transport in many cities around the world in the future. Could be a look into a future Venice like city after our sea levels have risen a few more mtrs..
