I just hope all of my glass work holds up! When I baked it all the seams started to swell under the paint. They went away after it cooled down. Chris, I sent you a pm.

Something like that, When I put in the 750 pump and tunnel I made it so the bearing carrier lined up where the 300 one sat. This put the rideplate bolts just at the very back of the 300 hull, So I would guess its like a -3 or something. But I did not shorten the 300 hull. Im still not sure if I should cut my rideplate down or not.

I plan to spend all weekend getting everything put together. Im trying to get the pole on and plasma a backing plate. I really hope the nose has enough glass, it would be a shame to have it break on me now.

Does anyone know how long a 300sx steering cable is? my 750sx cable is about a foot too long, it has to make a big S under the motor to fit. It moves freely, but Id like something that will fit better.

Not sure of the length on the 300 cable but I do know the 650sx cable is at least 6" shorter than the 750 cable. I tried to use the 750 cable when I put a -6" roundnose pole on my 750 and it was still too long to work without binding. I had a spare 650 cable laying around and it was a much better fit.

112 inches give or take an inch, I measured it while still attached to the hull so it will be close but not dead on, my hull has a giant hole still in the front that I was able to stick the cable out of and get a good approximation of length. You will have to make an extension as far as travel of the inner cable is concerned, I had to when I put in the 650 pump in mine.

I had to make an extension when I put the sj pole on the 750sx with the x2 trim nozzle. So I already have that part taken care of. Now to pull my 750 cable and measure it. If anyone knows of the shortest cable feel free to chime in at any time.

Another long night in the garage. I got a lot done. The motor and e box are bolted down. I fit the pipe, waterbox, exhaust outlet and fuel tank. Tomorrow I will make tabs for the straps to hold them all in place. I still need to mount the bilge pump, then the bilge switch and primer in the stock 300sx holes. And the last huge projects are to shim the bearing carrier forward about an inch and make a battery tray. As far as the bearing carrier goes- I still have bearing surface of the drive shaft sticking out. I have plenty of metal laying around and lots of 5200, just need longer SS bolts. My hooker comes UPS on Tuesday, I hope to hit the water ASAP and break it in right!

Thanks WFO- Im only worried about the distance from where it bolts on the back of the tube to where it hooks to the ball on the steering nozzle.
How much of an extension will I really need? I already built a 1" extension. wait, I can tig weld and have the old cable to use the end of- problem solved

Almost done. gotta pull the motor, shim the bearing carrier and put in the battery tray tonight and Im ready for the new prop. I have to say Im beat. This was a lot of work.
