So what kind of weight difference are we talking about from a 951 to a 66e? I know your 951 has to be putting out some serious horse power, and even if it added 20lb on top of the 66e, your power to weight would still be great. If you are making a dedicated back flip boat, then maybe you do want to save all the nose weight you can, but if you want to do rolls and stabs and anything else, the extra weight of the 951 might be helpful. Some nice trim would really go far to help get the 951 around.

On a side note, I did end up picking up a 300sx last night  Looks like it will be bye-bye X2 here someday. I'm 225lbs so I plan on mounting mine forward a bit more than others to help balance the ski a little more. I'll have 2 projects here soon, and depending on funds, this one might get put on the back burner until the SN top deck is done (which hasn't started yet).

jetmaniacs motor is a very nice upgrade. i rode a RN with stock 38's, ada head, b pipe, and a msd enhancer and it was a huge difference over a stock bolt on motor. chris is a great guy to deal with to!

i'm assuming you must be a smaller guy. superjetbrett and i just chopped up an fx1 and he rides it fine, but for me it's a serious work out. i have to constantly shift my weight to keep it riding somewhat level. but he doesn't have sponson's on his. either way, good luck on this build!

I believe the main problem with the 951 lies in the aftermarket pipes you have to use, they are geared more for top end and basically kill the bottom end of that engine, a stock piped 951 will jump the ski clean out of the water if you hit it from a dead stop with the VTS trimmed up. They are getting a lot more HP with the pipes but at the expense of the bottom end .

now to be serious.. where I want the pivot to go, just too bad I took 2" out of the top end of the pole, it would fit the hood line perfect.

and where I dont want it, but it lines up with the hood better.

Give the stock pole a chance again and cut that oil tank hole out. I left mine in at first but after looking at it longer then I cut it out. Its in the way, gives more room and to me it will be a weak point if left in.

btw I agree with can that 951 should flip.<how heavy="" is="" it?)="" should="" flip="" and="" you="" will="" have="" money="" for="" that="" mag.="" the="" thought="" did="" go="" thew="" my="" head="" of="" putting="" in="" a="" seadoo="" pump.="">

Like yo out the box thankn Chris!!!!!!!!!</how>

Im starting to wonder what prop to start looking for to go with my ported 718. I have a solas 15/20 now. Anyone running one of jetmaniacs motors? I guess Id have to see how it compares to a worked up sxr motor and prop accordingly. Then again this being a super light hull, what works in an sxr may not work for me. Wasnt there a guy that put a 701 in a 750sx?

hey i have that motor in my sj.. i am running a 12/17 i believe not 100% but i think i need like a 13/19.. it spends prop the way it is now but i am also running a dry pipe if your running the b pipe i would go with the 12/17
