how was pump alignment?
I mocked mine up with superjet blaster and vxr drive shafts and having the engine placed fairly close to the 300 location the vxr shaft lined up nice and the pump was set at the end of the 300 hull. its going to be set way back

i used the superjet shaft i ended up cutting the pump tunnel shorter and mounting it all the way back then moved the bulkhead back so that it would fit that shaft.

So are you using a longer midshaft like from a couch or are you moving the motor mounts back also? Any pics of the rear of the ski and how you molded the pump section in after setting it back? I'm at this point with mine as well. I was thinking of just shortening the hull at the rear by about an inch or two.

What about making your own that allow you to slide your feet in straight instead of sideways into the hull.. this would not fix the tray being all footholds

Is there anything special you have to do to get the foam to bond to the nose? I want to do something similar to my sn
i think im going to modify the revs to kind of do that, make them so they are all the way back and my feet will go straight in. i thought about making my own but since i have these just figure it will save me a little trouble.
no nothing special just cut away the part you want to reshape and make some kind of mold/form to let the foam expand in.

Right on should be nice fitting those i like those footholds
worked on finishing up porting for my motor. also got my foothold placed in they look wayyy better than i thought they were going to work they are also getting enclosures. i have been using one of those cheap multimaster tools from harbor freight to do a lot of stuff and wow i cant believe how well it works for doing all the cutting as well as scraping off turf makes life a lot easier.

Have you ridden a ski with footholds like that before? Only reason I ask is if you are planning on flipping, your foot could slip right out the back of those. I had similar ones on my SJ, rode it one time in the surf, came home, tore them out and redid them.
It's usually best to have some area behind your ankle to hold your foot from sliding back.
You can see in the pics that I had to build up the back part the second time around.
Just something to consider before you get too far into the build.

it's an easy fix with some foam and fiberglass. For mine, I had to make a complete new mold and then glass it. Your about 10 steps ahead of where I was at.
