I saw on PWC today that two guys on a Sea Doo 3D  won the standup overall award at the Mark Hahn endurance race in Havasu this weekend. This was an APBA sancationed event. Am I the only one confused????:dunno: What the heck is going on with this sport's promoters???? Just venting because I'm having a real hard time understanding and believing this...:bs2:

Those things are Practically couches is like riding one just standing up with a big plat form the endurance of staying balanced on a couch is alot easier than a stand up. you dont have to lean much you dont have to counterbalance much there just big couches with a deck for a seat. thats how they probably won i hear you though that is disgusting...

What a joke...I cannot believe they let a 3D in "stand up" mode compete in the stand up race. It's nothing like a real stand up, its nothing more then standing ona couch.

Booooo for those promoters....theres more then standing up to be a stand up

Please provide a link... I would like some more details:
1. Were those guys on the same 3-D behind each other?
2. Which position?
3. Is APBA sponsored by KY, Vaseline or any other of the big pharma brands?

There are some seriously STUPID people that let this happen.

First, the 3D is homo'd as a couch, as in a full size couch, not even sport!
Second, the 951 engine is a mere 100CC over the limit for an open class ski!!

Whoever let that thing enter as a stand up has absolutely no business as an "official" in this sport.... It's like entering a quad in a SX race.

HeHe. They didn't ride it at the same time. My understanding is that they are young guys and this is their first race, so it really isn't their fault. I think they trully didn't know the rules. However, the great disservice is that the promoter let them run in the standup class, scored them in the standup class, and awarded them first in the standup class. Dumbasses.

We have never had a problem linking to any site. It's actually encouraged because the closer we can bring the different sites, the better off everyone will be.

Huge F-up on someone's part. I hope they straighten it out. The size is bad enough but the parabolic hull of the XPL/3-D is one of the better rough water hulls ever made as far as sit downs go. I asked on pwct but no one answered. Just curious but was it a 951 or 785 3-D? Not that it matters, just curious.

Sounds like the officals just made a mistake...

Granted it shows they don't know much about skis. Just out of curiosity any of the members on here ever work with the APBA or IJSBA in any capacity...like an offical or something similar? Just wondering who is running/working the events...
