I don't know but I would never resleeve them. After 8 or 10 sets of rings and 2 cranks and 2 over bores I would just send him another set of cylinders.

You're assuming you will never have a freak rod bearing failure, a broken reed, a throttle late screw going through the topend, etc.
I hope you in fact don't, but if you do, your rebore options will be very limited.

Yea those things scare me. It would have to be a very tight build. As much new as possible i guess.

I love the sound of 845 but maybe a tried and true 61x 760 with porting would be plenty.

i think this is my next step.... but this involves bigger carbs than stock 38's right?

i wanna stick with my 62t bottom... maybe just porting on a 61x 701 cyl.... i need the spare bores... im a bad tuner lol.

the thought of only one overbore scares me a little... especially if you are spending 1600 bucks on machine work.

No I think you can run 38s or find some stock 44s.

Yea it scares me a little but on a tight motor it SHOULD last a long time.

I talked to Harry today

I will be sending out my parts next week
845 stock crank 1 overbore Im gonna take those odds over a stroker any day.

Im sure the 5mm I had hit harder but at what cost
I just want to ride and my stroker let me down way to much
For as much as I ride pump gas and stock crank ,stock ignition, hopefully 3 yrs with little maintance.

Yup, that's where I was at this summer. Tired of ********ing with my homebuilt motors, so I sent good used parts to Art @ Jetworks, and I am having him build me a nice standard stroke big bore motor.
My only requirement to him: "I want to be able to run it in the surf year around and not have to touch it".

Mine was built by a great builder
I think its the nature of the beast, stock rod and high compression is my guess
If i ever rebuild its going to be a long rod

If you build a short rod stroker then you are asking for issues at it loads the walls of the bore more due to the angle
your asking for higher wear with 125mm rods

However if your using a stock cylinder`then you dont have much choice

This is why an aftermarket cylinder is so much better as you can build a long rod engine and have the port timing where you want it
Its designed to run as a stroker
Oh and they go so much harder

How so?

And I would be happy with a 800 too no doubt!

Well I would imagine they wouldn't produce sleeves that could only be bored once, so that tells me that group k takes about 2-4 bores out of them in order to make it 87.5mm and 845 cc's, unless the only pistons that are available are 87.5 or bigger.
