62t big power options?

Case porting/epoxying is done by many builders without problems.

I would say it is safe to say epoxy will not out live aluminum therefore it will need re epoxied at some point. It has to. And that is something that requires sand blasting and more work.

i believe the devcon or jb weld is superior to just epoxy.

but if a piece of epoxy did let loose and went through your motor i doubt it would do a much damage as something that is metallic based, but i could be wrong.

I am curious to see some of these options with out buying aftermarket cylinders and stroker cranks

This 845 kit is cool but it seems a little overpriced . $1780 + the cost of the cylinder puts it up there with a Lamey cylinder . It also requires a $189 exhaust manifold mod and a head girdle kit . It does come with pistons and gaskets so knock off $300 for that . Still way over 2 grand no matter how you slice it.
With so many resleeved big bore setups around , its to bad no body makes bigger pistons for these such as 87 or 88mm. There is pleny of sleeve thickness available and according to other writing on groupks site , the thinner sleeve would have cooling benefits. Thats in the resto mod writeup.
Anybody know what the going price is for a new Lamey ? What is the max bore size on one?

Wiseco makes custom 2.2 stroker pistons for our MR2's, I'm pretty sure I could get them to make whatever we wanted. I think there is a minimum batch of 16 though.

$2800 for the BIG cylinder, Wiseco pistons (based on CR500 pistons), head, domes, o-ring kit, and base gasket (no girdle kit required). I think it's $250 ish to have the tops of the cases machined to fit the big Lamey sleeves. The max bore is 91mm, first bore is 89. Mine is set up for a 8mm stroker, but they might be interested in making one for stock stroke motors.

Yea that is a lot. I'm gonna big bore my 61x this winter and be done with it.

Ride one before you get one. I know alot of guys don't like the BB 61x. I know Team Scream does a pump gas 62t freestyle package and from what I hear it is awesome. 200+ psi and pump gas safe if I remember correctly.

200 psi and safe for WOT runs on 93 octane?

how so?

My groupk bigb ores run strong and flawless. Its all in the setup and tuning. Dont blame the cylinder if your ******** dont run right.
I still would like to have the bigest pistons possible. Groupk could have easily offered more bores to his current customers , but chose to hang them out to dry and went with an all new setup.

I am lost.

More bores?

I can't imagine a 61x resleeved properly to a 760 could be a bad thing. You maintain stock carbs, you have bores, and you maintain port height, right?

All the options are pricey.

I may have to ressleeve and port my dayum self!! Korn resleeved before so he knows how. Maybe send it out for porting or use that template thing. Is it still around? I mean I have cleaned up ports before so whats removing a little material with a template?

Most everything exactly right ATS, except it is only $150 to CNC machine the cases for the billet cylinder.

I am feverishly trying to get the billet stock stroke cylinder done. The first set, like a dumbass, I messed up the exhaust port location.

personally i would rather go with a total loss than an advent but each to there own

I agree, for the price of an an Advent and a chargeing flywheel your just shy of the cost of a total loss. If your building the motor from scratch and have to source parts the total loss is the clear choice.
