That and your dealing with the stock yamaha analogue stator
Thats why factory fire stopped making them

and well advent doesnt have a good rep either

msd total loss works well on yamahas

keep in mind this will be a MAJORITY freshwater boat...

if it were me I'd be going BB 61 for now (use up what you have)...then start keeping other options in the back of your mind..

66e vs. jetworks etc etc......

work with what you have! that groupK kit sounds nice but I like things that are proven...

Something more specific on my upcoming Jetworks motor:

Ported Bigbore 61X cylinder, 84mm bore, Wiseco pistons
Ported & Epoxied 62T cases
Dual 46 Blackjacks
62T electrics, stock flwyheel, maybe a TBM if I can get the money
MSD Enhancer (I'm going with Art's recommendation here, he's the builder)
ADA Head, pump gas domes
Stock reed cages

I probably will go 61x BB.

Matt...at least a lightened 62t flywheel, right?

And I can't imagine ever bouncing off of a rev limiter again so I see MSD enhancers as mandatory. Or at least modded stock.

I am not going to lighten another OEM flywheel.
I can't feel a difference worth more than a stick of gum.
I'll get an aftermarket charging flywheel eventually.

There is a lot to digest there since so much of the power is coming from the pipe. Has any of you dyno guys ever run an engine with a stub pipe and then progressed with wet and dry pipes??
