not to piss on your parade, but a freestyle build and a keihin carb?

A properly tuned Keihin carb is just as good if not better than a bigger Mikuni. They are just harder to tune and also harder to get parts for so they are dying out. His is the Sudco 42mm Keihin which may not be any Novi or Buckshot but it's certainly a very nice carb. Since it isn't the bombsight style, it's even harder to tune but still a very good carb.

The sudco 42mm is an amazing carb when tuned. They are not that bad to tune and I have found they hold once you get it where you want it. Fairly stock motor with bolt ons = no need for $1000 carbs.

Update

Got my JSS stator to work (its about time) I needed the gasket that they sell for the big pin motor with timing advance. The bad news is My MSD retard kit will not work. Brand new and I put it in and have no spark. So i will make some phone calls tomorrow. I did start the ski with the MSD and Timing advance but i dont know if i will run it untill i talk to MSD and the place i got my retard kit.

I took off the stupid side rail extensions that are a joke and dont stay on even with screws and finishing washers going all the way thru about every 6". So I turfed the stock purple bumpers.

I also finally trimed my steering cable so i may actully be able to have straight bars now. Pretty much i did all the little stuff that i have been putting off.

Also i dont remember who it was but someone asked me to post a pic of my steering setup so they are attached as well

when i did my stock pole i took the stock chin pad off and padded the top of the pole and then turfed the design.

how do you get the stock chinpad and handlebar pads off? I unscrewed the bottom of the handlebar pad but don't know how to get the top part or the chin pad off.
