Motors underwraps in the corner for now. Leaving the best part for last!!!
did the scupper tonight. used the home depot special and dumped it into the pump area. I'm not reafoaming and the hull was really flexible so I'm cutting off peices of pvc to brace the hull. They will eventually be glassed in. Shortened the hull by 2.5". Hoping to have it in the water before Daytona!!!

ya. I'm going to glass both ends in like you said. beef it up. I'm trying my best to save weight but anything better than 50lbs of soaked foam.

got one side of the the hull cut closed over. I put 12 layers of fiberglass cloth in. Maybe a bit of overkill but in Burwell, where I usually ride, you never know whats down there...For the mould you see on the otherside I used a simple piece of lexan lubed up with vaseline so it comes off easily. Rednecked it on there with electrial tape. I siliconed around it to hold the resin in. I tipped the front of the ski up as much as possible to help the fiberglass lay in there flat with the help of gravity. The left side worked awesome so same process for the right. Glad I bought the slow hardener and a giant can of acetone!!!

ain't it fun! it is turning out really well. is it going to be ready for this weekend, people are going to be riding the river one last time. hope you can make it out with or without the ski.

If you're not going to re-foam the sides, I would at the very least lay up some biax on the sides of your hull. A few good pancakes and you will be cracking that bad boy. I'm speaking from experience.

I layed a 6" strip down the bondline and also glassed in pieces of that central vac tubing down the bondline braced up against the tray. I also packed rigid insulation in various places. It will hold. I already gave it the stomp test lol.

hey guys, got lots done!! So I had I split down the bondline about a foot long. I expoxied it and clamped it overnight. The next night I pulled clamps off and it stayed together long enough for my fiberglass down the bondline to dry. I hope it doesn't give me issues...I pc11'd the whole bondline on the inside of the engine compartment before I epoxy painted it.

The stock scupper hump in the reduction nozzle got cut/filled, and I smoothed the pump shoe into the hull. hoping that all the little things make a noticable difference. The bottom of the hull got epoxy painted black!!!

The pump got blueprinted and tapped for dual cooling! theres a pic of me there with the pencil dremel giviner. Just for the record I'm not from Dunnville. hahaha Bathroom scaled the hull itself in at around 95lbs...yeha!
