Thanks guys. I made some more progress on it. I epoxied the tubbies on with 2 layers of 17oz of bi axle. Screwed them in and clamped for a little more pressure.

After the weekend of drying I removed the screws and sanded the edges. I am going to countersink some of the screws and flare the edges with 407 this week.

I used 5200 to do the ones on my X-2. Epoxying seams to be allot cleaner. As far as the cloth it seals the foam and provides a better mounting service(takes out the imperfections in the glass) thats my take on it.

I got all the edge's flared in with 407 this week and the ruff sanding done. What size tubes are people using for the trim cable?

can you tell me how tall is your ski stand from floor to the top of the wood, great build, looking into trying this conversion instead of buying a newer ski.

thanks

So my exhaust showed up last week from pat and decided to have a flange welded on it so I could mount it flush like the front exhaust but that didn't work out the way I planed. So I came up with option B. I ground down the flange and used the front as a hook and will counter sink a Stainless bolt in the rear to hold it. Then 404 and Glass around the edges for added strength since a land on that side. I will polish the aluminum piece that shows so it doesn't looks ok. I also got my scupper mocked up.

My Top Deck should ship out from XFT on Tuesday.

How far does the exhaust stick into the engine bay area? If it's not as far as a stock one, you will have to use an other than stock hose or splice one and a piece of one together.

Rear exhaust is in ans sealed now. I filled all the holes with 404 and then glasses over it with 17oz biax to keep it held in. I will try and get a better pic of it up for some reason it keeps coming out blurry.
