a few more pics of the hood i just did some sanding on it and sprayed some black spray paint on the part that i sanded. i like to use black paint when i work with body filler. get the filler what you think is perfect and then spray it with some black. everything that i missed or places that need more work show up. so now i will let that paint sit for a while and go sand it back off. after sanding the paint will be left in the low spots. then i will know the areas that need attention. it's alittle more work but i want it to be perfect.

i am thinking of going with some trinity holds does anybody have any input on trinity holds in an SJ? craig568 has them in his 750sx and i like them i just don't know how much different they will be in the SJ.

I was also thinking, i already have the XFT holds. I could cut them apart and shape them the way I want them and mount them farther forward in the tray. I reason I din't really like theXFT's is because I had to stand all the way in the back of the tray I would be more comfortable if i could more forward a few inches.

Shoot some opinions my way.

looks like a lot of work...it will be worth it though. hood looks good though travis.

thanks man. the hood is taking a while because i wanted to make it look like it came that way. i don't want it to look like some hack job. it's all coming along though. I can't wait to paint it and put it all back together. I got a set of dual 44's and a b pipe to put on when the engine goes back in. i am also going to set it up for dual cooling or amybe some water injection. not sure yet. i also have a high roller pole, pad, turn plate, and bars coming THANKS AGAIN GOOSE.:beerchug:

Check out my SN build for an easy way to remove that foam. Didn't take me long at all with a big screwdriver, claw hammer, and a wire brush to finish it up.

Sent you a PM on those XFT holds...I'll buy them if you aren't going to reuse them.

yeah man i forgot about this thread. those holds seem like the way to go. goose is sending me some 24-7 holds that a may use to hack up like that. I have never used 24-7 holds are they any good? i am going with the extra wide tray fo-sho.

I've never used 24-7 holds. You're gonna have to refoam anyway. Put the foot holds in, and cut the back of them off however you want to open them up. We turned the ski on it's side after installing the holds, and poured the foam in there. Then he just sanded it down to shape it the way he liked, and we glassed over it. I'm doing this to my ski sometime this winter. I'm still a maybe for Daytona, so I'm waiting until after January to tear into the ski.
