Well I guess that explains why only half of your foam was waterlogged and the other half was nice and dry. I always figured the ski still had the stock foam in it.

Yeah man I am gonna paint it because I don't want to have to worry about polishing it everytime I come out of the salt. After a while it would start to look like a set of handlebars. They get that white haze. Painting it will just make it easier.

I finally got the ski painted. let me know what you think. It took 25 hours straight in the paint booth only taking time to rest between coats when it was baking. The clear has tons of pearl in it. the pics do not do it justice at all! there is not one run anywhere on either ski(mine or craig568, i painted both skis in that 25 hours)

here are more pics. that is craig 568 ski on the left in pic #1. there are some funky shadows in pic 4 the paint is flawless!!!! the hood is also propped up with a thick truf hood seal that i don't want to use. so if anyone has a stock hood seal for a decent price let me know.

next time i have to paint it I was thinking about painting it like a cow and getting some black and white turf and cutting and piecing it together to continue the cow pattern in the tray and chin pad. That will be next winter after I trash the ski this summer.

Looks really good. How did you guys not paint each others ski's when they were that close? Is the booth that good or did you move the ski's around a lot when painting?

JFW when are you going to paint the rest of that square and post up some pics of the footholds?

The booth we painted in is a pretty good booth It has a great design with tons of airflow so we could have left the skis together and not gotten overspray, but we moved them just to make sure.

jordan do you have a ny pics of my carbon?
