did it i take it the neon green is there to? hows the color of it?

jordan you need to call the carbon fiber guy. the green he sent is a really bright green, it's the color you wanted. The only thing is that the green is so stiff. It is really hard to bend, it almost feels like plastic. The orange feels like regular cloth it is nice and flexible. So he need to send you some new green that is not hard like plastic.

ok I have the footholds installed now i just need foam so i can shape it to make my tray wider in the back. I cut the back off of the trinity holds for a more natural stance. now i am waiting for the glue to dry so i can take some of the rivets out and then lay some glass.i think i may cut the rear lip (bond rail)off of the ski just in case i get a trim system in the future.

what foam should i use????? i found 1lb, 2lb,3,ld.....?

it felt pretty good to just start hacking away at the holds and the ski, just cutting away at something that I have so much money wrapped up in, not knowing how or if it's going to work the way i want

I'm just looking at your ski...Did you not completely defoam the ski? :pokey:

Looks like you defoamed the section near the footholds and left the rest to rot. FYI... I drilledd two holes in the back of my SN and left it to drain for 2 months. When I finally opened it up, the wet foam was spraying me in the face.

Well I can understand where you're coming from but I've got a sneaky feeling that you're going to hate yourself in another year or so if don't remove all of it and replace it with closed cell foam. Judging from the video, some of that foam has to be wet still. There is no way that much water could be in there and most of the foam still be dry.

For the record...I'd rather defoam 2 ski's than install footholds and turf one. Since it looks like the ski is completely stripped, weigh it for sh*ts and giggles. It shouldn't weight more than about 105 lbs in it's current configuration. If it weighs more than 115 lbs, you've definately got more water in it. My SN weighs about 95lbs without the tray, foam, or exhaust tube. You have most of the tray, most of the foam, and I assume you still have the exhaust tube.

it's all dry man i drilled holes pretty deep in the foam and stuck my hands in there and i don't feel anything wet. so i am just going roll with it. I am going make sure this ski is sealed up tight! i will weigh it as soon as i get a scale. nothing is open today!

i got the foot holds in and foamed. i started to shape the foam, it is not where i want it to be but i will get it there. so tomorrow to will finish shaping and glass it all in. the tray is 21inches wide at the closest part in the back and 22 inches wide at the very back of the holds. so it is very wide compared to stock.
