JFW when are you going to paint the rest of that square and post up some pics of the footholds?

Believe me, I want to paint that thing more than you realize... But yeah my footholds are in place. I just need to do some foaming and creative fiberglassing to make them look halfway decent.

so is my paint design ok? colors, design??????? make some comments let me know so i know if I need to think something else up for next winter or not!?!?!?!?

i like the paint...i think it would look a little bit nicer and more finished if you pinstripe around the black with i wite or silver?

my ski is gettin there. i just need to buy / make a rn pole bolt, im gonna cut the rear bondline, and put it all together. and for the engine, port my cylinder and/or re-sleeve a diff. cylinder i have for biiiggggeerrr bore. i havnt been doin anything cuz i just broke my wrist snowboarding, just a month after my dislocated knee. b.s. haha

ya we only spent 25 hours down there. and that was without the third color! and it took 1.5 hours to mask over your black so that would of been another 6 hours. I told you i would stay either way though!

I think the paint job looks really good. I assume you plan on putting your registration numbers in the black under the front corner of the hood... I also hope you aren't planning on using the cheapo square letters.

I'm trying to figure out what you guys were working on for 25 hours... Did you not sand the ski's down prior to getting there or what? Granted I didn't use clear and only painted the bottom of mine, but it took me about an hour to clean all impurities off the bottom of my ski, mix the paint, and apply like 5-6 coats on it.

I know I didn't have to mask anything and that takes a considerable amount of time but not 15-20 hours worth.

well we had a lot of hour long bake cycles in between colors. and the making of his design took about two hours then masking it all off. Also we baked twice before flipping the skis and baked like 3/4 times after all the clear was done. and thats includeding priming and some finishing sanding

was wondering how that turf came out ?

i am not done yet, but the bottom came out awesome. i still have one side to do and the dash is cut just needs glued on. all i am waiting on now is my flywheel from #0 my 61x has a 62t flywheel so when i got one from #0 i ordered a 61x then when i pulled the stock one i realized it was a 62t flywheel. long story short i sent the 61x back and he is sending me a lightend 62t flywheel.

Your 62T flywheel went out today via Fed-Ex tracking number 331141110001321 and you can mail me a personal check for the shipping cost. :wavey:

here is a pic of the pole painted and put on. as soon as i get the rest of it together and get it washed i will post a whole bunch of pics. I also have a SR-71 hood on the way so I will have to paint that and get it put on. i still don't have my engine in and i am waiting on some bolts and other stuff for the turn plate and bars.
