Hey Guys,
Its aparent to me that Xh20.com freeride planners needs to work on there principles.
Wait, Let me start form the begining.
If you check the threads you'll see I was pretty new to Freestyle events. I drove 250 miles with my wife, my daughter and my two year old to attend the Cleveland Rock and ride. It looked like a fun time, hanging out with fellow jetski'ers for a day of fun. So we crowded in the car and headed out. I had a blast with my teenaged daughter. Its was the time of her life.
Together, She and I joined the Poker run. She even came in 5th place and won a set of RNR footholds...and this is where it went wrong.
The organiser of the event told she and I that she had won the footholds. Great! we said. Then he asked If I had foothold in my ski. I said yes. Then he asked If I would be interested in selling them to another guy he new. I declined saying my footholds were homemade. All Was good. Until, we went to pick up our prizes. I guess the guy was a better friend than an outsider from Hamilton. Because he took the footholds and gave them to his buddy. When I asked him why My daughter wasn't given the proper prize. He said he made a mistake. I said Right!
So instead of making a scene (Cleveland is a long way from Hamilton). I reached in my daughters prize bag and gave the substituted gift (unneeded nozzle boring) away to some random person and we left.
We will not be returning for the sunday ride.
I caution out of towners when attending events sponsored by XH20.com. Its a shame the event was tainted like this..most of the guys were great and the riding was awsome
