Custom/Hybrid Adjustable length Superfreak

I cleaned the clay out of the mounting holes with a tap, I can understand why some people have a gripe about how some of the plates fit on other skis. Every step I took made the plate fit different. had to woller out the holes on the sides a tad to get the bolts started, but it fits good now, still need to test fit the pump and probably have to grind the top of the plate to clear the pump, like the plate was that came on it. I plan to layup another plate tomorrow that will be the shorter one, anyone have any suggestions on how to locate the holes on the sides once it is all trimmed to fit, I thought about placing this one in the mold and drilling them into the mold, but I think just measureing it out is gonna be a better bet, ecpecially since these holes had to be opened up a bit as it was.

Rip the marker tip out of some sharpees and stick them in the holes then put ride plate in place and pull it off with marks where the inserts are. Viola!

Thanks Buzzard, the glob of grease trick worked good enough. I layed up another plate that is the short one obviously. It fits better than the long one, probably will make one more, that will be in between. I knew I would want one that is as short as it goes so I went ahead and did it, I would like to know what the overall length of -9 is, this is 75" and about 79" with the other plate, this seemed as short as I dare go when I was cutting.

My -2" Badass was 81" overall so a -9" Titan should be 74" overall length. My Aquabot with current rideplate is 76" but I think the nose has more rocker and is shorter so the tail length will be longer for any given overall length in comparison to yours. Here's a pic with the 76" length for comparison:

You going to fall in love with this ski all over again with this adjustability! All the work will definitely pay off soon, it's too bad you aren't going to Wavedaze

Yea man, I think so can't wait to get it dialed in, should be a fun boat wake flipper, and still rip the lake MI surf.

It is long overdue that I update this build thread. I have been riding with the shortest plate that I have and my xm pole all the way in. I have to say that shortening the ski made a huge improvement for flatwater riding, which is mainly what I do (although I would much rather be riding surf) but there isn't any around here this time of year. It definitely makes the ski flip and roll easier, but it does porpous when trying to just ride across the lake. I am yet to try the long plate and will probably wait till there is some good surf at lk. MI. I have been practicing my flatwater riding but have a ways to go still. I got some video today on my galaxy s5 but cant seem to get it up on here any help would be appreciated.galaxy s5 205.jpg galaxy s5 205.jpg

This is also -8.5 or real close at this length. It has a TPE 964, 46 mm carbs, enhancer, zero lightened flywheel, 144 solas mag pump, 14/19 scat prop.
