Freestyle Affordable Power......... It's COMING

Its been more than two years. He was talking to me about it close to 4 years ago. Its out standing wha the has done. I have seen what he has done from the bottom. its a good thing

at least someone remembers how long it really takes to bring this to market, coming soon is relative right....Im sure more than a few will be surprised

For the record, I told Erik I wanted to start this thread to build up interest in the motors. He really had no interest in advertising until the product was ready to ship, but I talked him out of it. I am a marketing agent for an insurance company, I know how to build interest. When Ford comes out with a new car, they display it for 8 months to a year before it hits the dealerships for purchase. They do this to build interest while they finish testing. This is the same thing Erik is doing. He is finalizing testing and first runs, nikasil, etc. How long did it take Xscream to get their 1200s out? How long did we know it was coming before they started selling to the public? Same thing.

Erik is very close to having the motors and cylinder packages ready to ship. I for one would rather have someone take their time to bring the best product they can bring to the public than rush something out that doesn't work.

Why would you want to do it that way? The hull builders have been using the market as test subjects for years. Just let the customers work out the quirks and make that $$$$!!!!

And consumers have always been there to buy it without question.

Most people have no clue about sales and marketing,Im with you on your point here, wish everyone had this kinda understanding for the market. If the motor came out tomorrow and was available in mass supply and no one knew about it,how fast would they be selling then. Prepping the market and creating desire is 90% of the game...I think they call it "hype" in this sport especially on this site.....

I would be interested in a cylinder but there is alot of grey area that they aren't telling us. Just wanted a simple picture instead of asking a 1000 questions. But if i cant get a picture then i will ask a 1000 important questions.
This thread is only 2 months old and I know Erik has been working on this for at least 2 years... Probably much longer! Not everybody has the money laying around to buy this motor on it's release day without any warning or advertisement of it's development beforehand. not to mention a lot of people that are complaining about pics of the bottom of the cylinder and it's release date/final cost are probably not going to actually buy a cylinder or this engine package. R&D takes a lot of time especially for something like this! Erik has a lot of experience and knowledge and he will not release something that he isn't 100% satisfied with

Dude give the pic of the bottom of the cylinder a break. How'd you like it if you displayed some of the "secret sauce" of your new product before it was available for sale, and then some dude in Th**l*nd copied your design, and sold it for significantly cheaper? Let Erik get his motor fully dialed in and mass produced for sale...

If your decision to buy a cylinder pivots on someone posting a specific picture of it on the Internet, you may be one of those "customers" that a business would better do without.
I had those customers when fixing skis in the summer time. Arguing about parts cost, wanting to get their own parts and have me install it, etc. I'd usually just tell them I was busy and could not fit the in until winter.

what they are doing is good but i just dont want to buy something that isn't correct. Sorry for asking a question of a crucial part of the cylinder.

Maybe, if you have a specific engineering concern, call Erik and talk to him about it.
I am curious though....I do not know your background and don't want to assume anything about it. What are your qualifications in this field that would allow you to judge whether that cylinder is right or wrong on the bottom?

Or, wait until next weekend when the demo boats are out. Come ride one, or talk to the guys that do. The real question is how it performs. Riding it will answer a lot of questions ;)
