Freestyle Affordable Power......... It's COMING

lol ok buddy, weak race motors..both are freeride port timing specific, and hit hard right now,not in a second. Some of the stuff you posted being said is not what I heard being discussed at colonial or felt on others previous and later as well. The 965 is a nice motor, its original concept back 4 yrs ago from when I first started talking with eric about making a affordable motor..was always about budget surf build. It works well for that purpose, all im saying is I wouldnt waste my time on it for flat water only, when a 10 mill is also avail as well and better suited to the purpose?

you cant apples to apples the comp, timing, tuning on a 83 mill stroker to a 95 mill SS,thats the whole point, unless youd like to try it first. let me know how 200 lbs works out with it on pump fuel and 46 carbs, the dynamic comp would be silly different. Personally im looking forward to trying the 10 mill in the river and detuning a bit for surf for dual purpose. Josh was getting crazy height off inside sub waist high waves, one footers and no handers, just plain sick, dude has skills...Ill get to messing with the SS again on the bench after wavedaze fer sure though....

Anybody know if domes are available, or how compression changes are being done? I'd like to try a ss, but am running tl / pfp / 48 fs etc... At 5,000' elevation. I love the fact that a lot can be achieved within certain budgets, but I want to get my parts on one. Just not sure how it'll work? I ride 99% flat water and chase boats occasionally. Will ride surf maybe once a year at best. Suggestions?? I was all over the ss til the last couple days posts about differences between the hit from the ss to the stroker. I want to be flatwater flipping etc. I've done some off wakes, but am only getting 3/4+ with my current frankenstein 781ss off my own wake.

Thanks fellas.

Talk to Erik, tell him what parts you have or plan to use with your build and tell him exactly what you want your ski to do at the end of the day. He will provide you with the best information to make an educated purchase decision. You can also talk to Steve or Paul who are both also very reputable builders that are running these TPE motors right now.

Personally owning one of these motors, I would strongly suggest trying one out before you decide to buy anything else.

Eric.

thats the same thing I tell the people that pm me about the tpe setup, you can talk it and analyze it all day, just go ride one and you know immediately if it makes the kinda power curve that you personally like for your purpose.Everyone is different, and alot of this is highly subjective.there is good tech in this motor, and for a little less money than other setups, just a matter of what crank to run for a given purpose imho...

Without reading a bunch of pages are these cylinders in production? If not ECD? And if so how many can be pumped out a month?

It would be nice if the first post or a new thread was started with details & pricing options and such. Who evers is makig them can you shoot me a PM. -Tks

So all this talk about Cylinders and Kits.
What about complete engine set ups?
Something the "handicapped" can simply "drop and ride".
I did not see that being offered at your website.

It's on the website.
Crankcase modification and short block assembly are what you'd need to add onto the topend price. I'm not 100% sure but pistons should be included with topend so the piston listing should be for rebuild purposes and not initial build cost

Hi guys, Erik Brigham here. True Performance Eng. is my project, my design inputs. The idea of this project design was mine and mine alone. I am sorry for the website discrepancies and some confusion it may cause, it is my fault and I will work on it this weekend. If you have questions call me @ 804-385-9836. I have two others who are helping me with contacts and questions also, they are Chris Rauen of 701 Industries and Todd Saulier of the Rad Dudes. You can contact them with questions and they will get you what you need, or call me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I sell most engines in a SHORT BLOCK configuration. The case work done is extensive and needs to be done by a knowledgeable machine shop. The cylinder kit is everything above the cases- base gasket on up, pistons, head/domes, pv's and all hardware. The Cylinder Kit is $2495.00 and the case work is $350.00. I hope this answers some questions but feel free to contact me, Chris or Todd. Chris does field most of the personal contacts but Todd will help also (I don't want to hurt Todd to much).
Thank you,
Erik Brigham

thanks Jaimie.

we try to keep Erik working and away from the phone........no such thing as a 5 minute conversation with him. =) Response times can be slow sometimes, but believe me, every email is read and either responded to by me, forwarded up to Erik, or discussed over the phone when we talk. Help keep this man focused . We have discussed some of the issues with the website and they will be addressed. That's the reason we hadn't posted it on this thread yet.
