You can try it out, it hits so hard off the bottom for a surf ski its crazy. Plus it still needs a bigger prop! In the next few wks I'm going to install the EPIC & 14/19 "148" prop to complete the set up.
It's one hell of a surf ski!!!! Not sure if I'm going to like the FS1/846 I'm building for a backup ski.

You meant to say the wife's ski didn't you? :smokin:

Yes, thats my wife's ski. I can't wait to get her back on the water. I really think she will enjoy how stable the Rickter rides.

Come on down for a spot ride. I was running the 9BS battery in all my Ski's, great little 5lb battery. I just replaced it with a Heavy battery for last weekends ride. My XS1000 has some compression & I didn't want to be towed.

My Buddy Lucas is running a Odyssey PC310 which is what I'm going with. 310 CCA, weights 6lbs

Josh, I have an Advent T3 Chuckie programmed up for my engine if you wanna give that a try until the EPIC shows up.[/QUOTE]

Thanks Boyer, Chuckie wants to do some testing with the EPIC, so I said I would order one & see whats left in my motor set up. I really think the bottom end will be crazy with this EPIC system. Its already so crazy how much power it puts down.

I'll keep you posted

Well this afternoon I drilled some drain holes for the tray, I was moving it & heard some water in the tray. Drilled two holes & drained 3 gallons of water, sure is nice not having 2 part foam. Its time for a new RTR weight now it lost 25lbs of water.

LOL, wut?

You got that much water intrusion so quickly, in a fairly new aftermarket hull?
Nice that it's not 2-part foam. Is that a standard feature?

Yeah I guess all ski's get water in the tray.... But Rickters have no 2 part foam which is great, I was told it has Poly foam blocks.

Thats what I thought, time to hit some flatwater now... Now if I could drop 25lbs that would be the Sh*t...

Your right brother, I remember draining my freak....

Yeah its going to be a drain after each ride, but it sure is nice with no water in the tray, no wet foam to deal with.

I'm changing poles this week, Brian at Thrust got the new billet poles in. Going to look sick with black tubes & red fittings. Also changing air filter set ups. Proks & surf riding don't mix well, so I'm going to try Brian's Billets Airfilter adapters with the stock covers...

I got some fuel through this XS1000 (50-60 gal) & man this motor rips...After others ride it the first thing out of there mouths.... It feels like a monster is under the hood....

This is purely the best set up anyone could ask for.....

Josh, look into installing versiplug drains. They screw in place of regular drainplugs and will continually drain the hull when you're moving, but not let water in when you're sitting still.
I don't know if you're taking on enough water every ride to justify it. In my case, I had nearly two gallons of water after every ride, so it made sense for me.

Thank Matt, my problem is theres no room for a full size yamaha drain. I'm going to try Boyer's drain, other wise I'm stuck using a screw.

check out the lower profile Versiplug R-s.

Thanks Boyer, it looks like that may fit. There's not much room with the exhaust tube & scupper.

do you know were it leaking from yet??

I pumped a little air into the tray & found some leaks around the right rear bond rail. Its not a big deal you just have to drain it after each ride. My thoughts are maybe the exhaut or scupper tubes leak some. On my Rickter the scupper is built into the hull so no PVC pipe is used.

I'm going to drain it after the next ride & see how much I get in one 2-3 hr ride.

All hulls get wet, We just refoamed my buddy's Superjet. Spent alot of time sealing things up. It drains 1-2 gals each ride. Just life I guess
