What did you fab the water box holder out of? - looks like Ali 'L' shaped profile?

Looks sweet - you should sell them via Brian!

Josh the straps with oem tabs look like they are going to work well. Did you finish it last night? Are you up for daytona with lucas and i tomorrow? Good spot for first surf trial.

Just some 1/16 L shaped Aluminuim... Took 15 minutes to make & cost $8.00, plus the strap... This is going to be a surf ski so I want things tight & to stay in place...

pimp setup on the powerbox and the custom tray - well done!
Thanks Roo

Sorry Chris I can't do Fag Tona with a new ski.... I'm going to the lake early morning & then taking my kids MX riding at Bostwick.

Got the ski all done & to the water for a test ride... Gotta say Brian is damn good on these engine setups. Adjusted idle, everything else was perfect... I built this ski / motor knowing I wasn't going to be impressed or happy with a 900cc motor.. Gotta remember I'm coming from a 1100 & 50 lb hull, lol

This Thrust Built Dasa 900 is so impressive, I gotta say its unreal how much snap this motor has... Going to be perfect for the surf & flatwater, when it hits & comes on the pipe it just pulls like crazy. Makes more power than my old xs1000 on a b pipe by far.
To be running a 144 pump and have this much brap is really cool.

I'm going to ride first thing tomorrow morning, would have rode more tonight but had to change a jet in the pipe. Water box was a little warm for my liking..

Thanks guys for all the props...

Tank wise right now I'm running a 2 gal jazz, but Brian shipped me the 3 gal jazz tank today so I will be changing that out next week.

No issues yet, but I didn't ride long due to the water box temp... I'm going to hit the lake at 7 am tomorrow so ride report soon.

Looks awesome. Great work as usual. Where are you mounting the ignition box?

Ebox is mounted on the bulk head like a normal ski... With the battery and ebox mounted on the bulkhead it now has more weight at the center than if I ran the firewall tank..

Ski rips

DOPE setup!!!

Why is the gas tank so close to the motor? looks like it could be moved back a touch or are you using the motor to lean it up against?

I thought you said something about a 4 gallon tank earlier... didn't work out?

I want to go with a 3 gal tank, the 4 gal fits but its really to big in there.... I want all the weight as close to the firewall/Bulkhead as I can get it, thats why i put the battery, ebox, tank right on the FW cover...

I just glassed in the insert for the 3 gal tank, I'm just putting that tank together now.

Had a great morning ride, ski rips, would love to put a 148 in this ski... Its smoking the 144 off the bottom
