I got to ride this ski yesterday, all I can say is woww, motor hits umbeliable hard, and remember its only a 4mm, and it's in a heavy hull, it is a multiple backpflip engine on a lighter hull for sure.

Like Josh said rolls, flips, and underflips was like a walk in the park, very easy,

Hats off to Thrust again

Josh, could you post up a sketch of your PFP water box mount please? I'm looking to use your idea to make one (whilst I wait for my XFS and PF to arrive in Feb) but can't do so with a sketch or the parts!

Thanks,

Jim

I will draw something up for you tonight, the ski is at my house...

as for pumps, right now I'm running a 144 S/B 14V Skat mag, with a custom prop, reduction, steering nozzle setup...

I will be running the new Thrust 148 pump very sooooon... 148 pumps are the best all around pump to have, the 144 is holding my setup back...

Will Brian be selling the 148 as a package soon? - assuming you need the whole
Shooting match to move to 148 (new nozzle, mid section etc)?

Are you looking to sell the 144?

Thanks on the sketch/diagram BTW ;)

Brians new mag pump is lighter than a Skat pump, your 144 Reduction bolts right up... The pump is one piece like the billet 148 skat so no wear rings to worry about....

The new pump is going to be the shiz.... Will have one at Daytona this year for display, will be running one in my XFR for demos to guys on friday at the lake... We have a flatwater day planned for the Friday before Daytona

Sounds nice - any idea on cost yet?

Is this new?
I think I saw a thread about a mag pump that was heavier, but less expensive....Can't recall if it was Thrust...
You know we rely on you for all of this product info! lol.

Got some more surf time on the ski today... I love this ski in the surf

Today wasn't great surf , sloppy , choppy, some over head waves...

The XFR with a 4 in extend ride plate rocks in the surf.. I think I'm going to try a 5.5 in ride plate and add 1 in to my pole

The ski really is a lot of fun, re entry's get so much pop it's crazy, I was landing re entry almost parallel to the wave (180 from the direction I entered the re entry) you can really throw the ski around. Slashing the wave and wave riding was fun and the ski had no issues... Adding the extended ride plate made the XFR a very fun surf ski... The ski flips so fast and so easy it's going to be a very fun ski for sure...

I need to try some more nose stabs, I have always thrown big nose stabs and tried a few on the XFR and haven't found the sweet spot yet

The trust built motor feels so good... I like big cc (HP) skis, always have... I really don't feel like I need more power.. The Thrust built Dasa 900 (896cc) just has such smooth power and once your on the pipe hold on. Motor makes more power than my old xs1000 on a b pipe I ran in my carbon FS1... This really is the flatwater / surf ski all in one.....

Will post a video tomorrow, had both gopro's on today

Changes to make this week
Adjust right foothold, left one is perfect... Add 1 in to pole length , make longer ride plate.

Great, are they pushed right the way into the stocks top and bottom?

Mine are 20" at the moment and considering getting them anodised are running them as far out of the stocks as possible to get near the 22" you mention otherwise i'll need to buy new tubes...

Yes, mine are installed all the way in both sides...

If you need some extra tubes I have a pair $60, 22in long
