Custom/Hybrid Aircraftsalz new Rickter XFR SURF build Thrust Dasa powered

Yes, mine are installed all the way in both sides...

If you need some extra tubes I have a pair $60, 22in long

Cheers Josh - I'll take those, can you drop them to Brian please? Just order a PFP and jazz tank from him and hopefully he can drop these in the same box for shipping to the UK?

Thanks

James

Glad it helps guys out... Have a new build coming soon that no one has seen a build thread done on this hull.... That's all I can say right now, should make Daytona with it... Going to be a sick ski / build... Top secret stuff, let's just hope it makes Tona...

james I'll drop those tubes off with Brian in the next few days, not sure when your stuff is shipping... Just let Brian know and I'm sure he will hold off a few days

Got some more time on the ski .. I'm really loving this ski for a do all one ski... Rode surf Saturday, had a blast ski is so fun to ride... Re entry's , backflips, big nose stabs just really getting the feel of the ski now...

Sunday... Lake ride
Swap to flush plate, now the ski turns into the perfect flatwater ski... Flips , rolls, you name it... Must have done 50 flips of the boat wake today.. Even with the short plate you can pin it across the lake.. Had a blast this weekend

Same ski, same motor, just swap ride plates...

I'm running this extended D cut ride plate now.. Bought it off eBay just to try and like it, $120 shipped

Just drilled the two rear holes, the ride plate sits on the reduction nozzle so that gives it support..

hey josh nice build as per usual

just out of interest, why have a cut back hull if then you need to run a super long plate?

does the hull give advatages in other areas?

if so would it make more sense to have those features without the cut back?

sorry if the questions are dumb, but im trying to wrap my head around it

Steve,

I love the short small hull in the surf.. With a flush plate that comes on the hull which is perfect for flatwater sucks in the surf. You fight the nose high, wants to tail stand all the time. You can ride it, but your fighting it more than enjoying it..

Add a long plate, makes it fun to ride, no tail standing, re entry's , backflips, rolls, stabs in the surf are no problem... Now take the ski to the lake, 5 minutes to swap ride plates and your off and riding, backflip , rolling, etc on flatwater with the same ski...

As for my reduction / nozzle setup that's my own setup... Yamaha reduction custom bore, protec steering nozzle with custom bore, thrust trim...

Ski rips... Can't wait to tweak this motor and swap pumps...

gotcha so that way you get the best of both worlds, makes more sense to me now

do you have any concerns with the plate being so far cantilevered from the hull that water presure could rip the inserts out?

Seems a similar approach to that taken with the new lightweight.de hull to achieve a ski for all conditions!

Got to swap carbs out on this little Dasa 900.... Took off oem gold mikun 46's and installed some Full Spec 49's...

Dropped it in the lake on my way home, feels like a new motor. I can't say in words what good carbs do for a motor...

More power everywhere, the bottom end hit is night and day better... I just told Brian this week I don't feel like I need more power. This is the best all around ski I have ever rode or owned. I'm so impressed with this package....

Just need a pump now... 148 coming soon

I'm waiting for Brian's new pump, I've seen pics so I know it's getting close... I may order a maxx 148 to hold me over until Brian gets his done... I'm smoking the 144 and I know what this package will be like with a 148... I need the 144 mag in this ski for my fix steer ....

Gotta get a 148 soon...
