thanks. I had some grey layin around so i figured id mix it up a little. I like it. Now i gotta do the bumpers. BTW when doing the bumpers, do u wrap all the way under, or what?

No you just go down to the bottom, no need to wrap them. I personally wouldn't put turf on my front bumper or side rails. It just always rips off. Atleast thats my experience. My buddy has turf on his side rails and any time he losses his boat in the surf and it rolls in the sand the turf on the side rails gets all jacked up. But since your not riding in the surf, maybe that wont matter.

that does look REALLY great, maybe next time Ill allow more time and even, try and do it sober ( shudder)

but I think people will tell you that turf is slicker in that orientation ( bottom sheet)

ive never experienced that, just read it alot.

and on the padding, I actually used 2 layers the last time I turfed one, and it feels better, I think my legs and back get less tired from constantly absorbing those shock loads.

Im not complaining though, I wish I could do turf that pretty, I for SURE cannot!

Im pretty easy on my crap. Hopefully it wont come off too easily. We will see what happens. Im fixin to start right now. (yeah i said fixin to)

I guess I will have to try it whenever i re-turf. Live and learn. But I had to get it done before Lanier and I didnt even think to order under padding when i ordered all my crap. But i think Ill survive. Ive taken much more abuse for the last 15 years on the MX track than gettin my ankles bruised a little. We'll see.

So here's my progress so far on my holds. Just got done a little earlier. Just got done stickin them in there. Planning on glassing tommorrow. I cut a litttle high so some of the rivets are pretty close to the edge. This is my first time working with expoxy resin.
