I really need to ride a X scream motor before I buy one. I have to force myself to get off of my ski and ride one in Daytona.

I would like to ride one with a B and one with PF and similar CC's/props.

Oops nevermind i see this is a DASA.....but same deal...I need to ride one and figure out what to get next.

I just stopped by Steve's shop last weekend and got a chance to look at this hull. As usual it looks really clean and is extremely sharp. The tray is nice and wide, as is the top deck. Hes got a purty motor and pfp pipe to put in it. Impressed as usual.

not much progress except the RRP pole being installed! got to take care of business before finishing this project.

It should be completed by the end of the month

you didn't answer my question about the exhaust chamber mounting...

curious how you mount it.

Sorry Roo!, I ended up making a shock pad and mounted it underneath the chamber for support and keep the chamber in the proper position. Right now it is very sturdy and doesn't move at all.

I'll take some inside pics tomorrow

Here you go Roo! I hopes this give you an idea. It wedges the bottom of the pipe and helps keep it at the proper even level without coming tooclose to the bottom of the hull.

beautiful :headbang:

is the the pad/turf combo glued to the hull, then one strap over the chamber to hold it down?

Is that shock pad the only thing that holds the pipe in place?

yep, with a strap over the chamber... the coupler at the manifold and resonator pipe keep it in place just fine other then that.

least in my experience!

i have pretty much this same setup, though I stacked like 10 small rectangles of turf and attached them to the chamber with another strap.

thanks!
I don't even think it needs a strap but I may put one anyway.
